i m a millionaire!! yoohoo!!

just in case u are wondering if i have been dreaming too hard, the answer is NOPE and i am REALLY a MILLIONAIRE though in the terms of RUPIAH and in Batam and not in SG! hahaha...

went to batam over the weekend with dear for a short short short getaway.. itz not a bad trip though and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite the short time we spent there!

booked the hotel & ferry with holiday bagus and topped up only $15 per pax for a land tour which includes seafood lunch! woah! well, the seafood ain't that fantastic but c'mon! wat do u expect of $15 anyway? LOL..

here we are, cam-whoring on the ferry, at the ferry terminal & at the hotel grounds.. (which btw, is harris resort @ waterfront batam)

we checked in, dump our bags and went for the day tour! 1st stop: Balerang Bridge.. hope i didn't get the name of the place wrong..

nice structure which oversees the nearby islands! beautiful! just like me.. hiaks hiaks!

then to the authentic, licensed polo ralph lauren shop (not the local indonesian polo brand wor!) for some shopping b4 having our seafood lunch at golden prawn restaurant.. and then after the lunch, we watched some local cultural performance. thereafter, it was off to some local produce shop and then the temples for praying...

the hard work that these performers put in... opening a coconut with bare teeth, eating glass and jumping thru' fire hoops.. aiyo...

and then.. the cam-whoring starts again on the bus! dun think we are trying to act cute wor.. we are just trying different poses with our hands to hide our fat faces!! hahaha... dun u tink we look slimmer already?

erm.. sorie for the act-cute poses of both of us.. cldn't help it... =P

at the Tua-Pek-Kong Temple and the largest Buddha Temple...

check out my silly, goofy smile. this is something never to be repeated again! hahaha.. i just wanted to look like the laughing buddha.. hoho..

and off to Batam City Centre for shopping! must buy items: toothbrushes, shavers, cotton pads and pads! hahaha.. they are soooooooooo super cheap here! ORAL-B toothbrushes are only less than $2 for 3!! and the model is one of those top of the range one okie? haha... Gillette shavers for him & for me & razor cartridge costs us less than $12 for all 3 items!!! piangz.. in SG, 1 would easily cost $10 +...

anyway, after 3 hrs of shopping, we were whisked back to our hotel and as I have made prior arrangements with Isabella Massage House (near Nagoya Shopping Centre), we were picked up by their staff for our spa session.. very excellent service provided by the staff! they even fetched us to a makan place called A1 for our dinner while they waited to send us back once we were done.. and dat was already close to 12am batam time!

introducing our cosy cabana room at harris resort b4 we head back to sg...

we had to take the earliest ferry back though as we were meeting the family for lunch @ shin yeh @ liang court.. thanks lilian jiejie for the drool-worthy fare! yummy taiwanese cuisine, here i come!!

ooohhh.. missy seems to love the food! or is she playing with it??

in case u are wondering watz e bowl of thing doing in these pics.. itz my fav dessert, OR-NEE!!! dun u like the way itz presented? so enticing!

missy taking her after-lunch stroll around the place.. i know i know the pics are blur but i just love her smile!

and last but not least, have u eaten a SGD$18.50 loaf of bread??? piangz.. we found it at meidi-ya supermarket!!! our dearest lilian jiejie actually bought 2 loaves of it to be shared amongst us!! omg.. datz $37 for 2 loaves!!! itz called buono bread by the way...

Seems like you enjoy you break, have fun in the sun and enjoy a great food. That's really remind me of my home country, Indonesia. Now, I am really looking forward to go back home now. I have enough of this gloomy and cold days here.
