pacifier-free days ahead for missy

darling missy is erm.. (officially, i hope?) weaned off her pacifier from 25th sept (saturday)..

happened so cos dear forgot to bring her pacifier along when we brought her home.. and forgetful me forgot to buy it when we were out shopping with her at jurong point that same evening.. hmm.. bedtime came and she was all dressed up in her pyjamas.. and out came the crucial question from missy "where's my zui zui?".. and as "rehearsed" with dear earlier, we played out our lil' act in front of her..

me: papa, where's her zui zui?
dear: oops! i forgot to bring it home!
me: how can you! apologise to weewee now..
dear: sorie baby, papa forgot your zui zui. we'll get it from popo's hse tmro ok?
missy: *disappointed yet overwhelmed by our dramatic act* orh.. OKAY...

she suffered from withdrawal symptoms dat nite.. sniffling and flipping in bed.. and waking up extra early despite a late nite rest.. and another act awaits her when we were back at mum's place..

missy: mummy i want zui zui
me: popo throw away already.. all spoilt!
missy: open new one!
me: -_-"" popo never buy.. popo!
mum: 婆婆没有买zui zui.. 明天婆婆去买啊!
missy: *perplexed look* orh.. OKAY!

and so this act went on for the next few days whenever she remembers her zui zui..
and phew! i tink missy has this habit of "lying" to herself or accepting our "lies" so as not to face the truth.. she is now off her pacifier for a little more than a week..

and phew again! cos i tot i had to resort to the oldest method of weaning her off her pacifier by putting 风油 or chilli on it..

well done darling! mummy is so proud of u dat u are weaned off before u turn 3! (much much later than i expected but.. oh well! who cares right?) muacks darling!
