and this was what transpired between us...

weewee: mummy, i want to buy this!
me: weewee, mummy 没有钱。。。
weewee: orh... (*pouts* and then looks uplifted again..) mummy, 爸爸很有钱leh!
me: (LOL!) mmm.. 对。。。爸爸很有钱... 爸爸回来时你叫他买hor?
weewee: orh! ok!

on the way to bugis junction...
weewee: mummy, i want to buy a robot dinosaur!
me: but baby, u have a robot dinosaur at home right?
weewee: mmm... right..
me: then we'll play with it when we go home okie?
weewee: *ponders for 1min* but mummy, i don't have a robot leh!!
me: (tsk tsk... wth!) hmm... ok....
