itz the last day of 2009... and i m still at work at 4.55pm. will be staying till 9pm+ as itz the month-end closing!! wat are those angmohs in US thinking about huh??? grrr...
2009 has been a pretty good year for the family. or should i say, pretty smooth-sailing without much ups & downs unless you consider the world economy which was in the doldrums for most part of the year. however, we came out of recession officially and things are looking up again. oooh.. and yet if i were to factor in the pathetic bonus package that dear & myself were entitled to this year, then yes! year-end definitely sucked this year.. haha.. but being the ever-optimistic person with regards to money-matters (cos i dunno how to count my own $$$!!! tsk tsk), i m just glad we both still have our jobs which provides us with sanity and stability in finances.. *phew*!
missy turned 2 in oct 2009 and as time flies like nobody's business, she'll be starting school in 4 days time!!! something which is causing the both of us much agony cos we are so worried about small little things like: whether she'll like school and if she'll get bullied blah blah blah.. sigh.. and of cos there's the super-heartpain factor for taking away the "luxury" of staying at home as a carefree toddler from her and placing her in a 3-hr pre-nursery. but we have been telling each other that the decision should be right. cos missy is a kiddo who loves other kiddos and she shd be able to fit in well.. plus, if school means cutting back on 3 hrs of barney or tom & jerry dvds, then heehee.. maybe itz pretty worth our headache right now! and not forgetting the awaited arrival of didi ayden in apr 2010. tis arrangement will definitely help mum & grandma in coping without missy feeling dat she is unwanted or unloved by any of us.. =)
we are also blessed with the great news of having #2! bb ayden must have been conceived over the international waters if i m not wrong.. hmm.. and to think that i was wondering then if I need to stop my pills for at least 1/2 year, see the chinese physician and condition my body 1st prior to conceiving.. bleh! we accepted the great news with lotsa happiness and with quite the same dosage of apprehension too. always wanted to give missy a companion but the 1st trimester was filled with weird reactions from missy.. she "refused" to want a didi or meimei and kept insisting on saying "不要" whenever we asked her about it.. and her temper and behaviour?? atrocious and almost unbearable.. urgh! luckily, she has grown out of this stage and has even referred to her own tummy as 妹妹 whenever i asked her to sayang 弟弟.. hahaha.. such a cutie and a sweet relief to us.. i just hope she'll be her loving self and love didi loads!!
sooooooo.... 2009 is coming to an end and we look forward to starting 2010 on the right foot! hee.. hope the new year will be blessed, smooth-sailing, filled with lotsa happiness and laughter! well... i m sure dear & i will work towards achieving a GREAT 2010!

cheap cheap parking @ T3
missed the biscuit @ popeye's so drove to T3 with mum & grandma for some munching.. sigh.. biscuit is sadly OOS!!!!!!!! argh... nvm though cos mum & dear hvnt tried popeye's b4 and they all LOVE the coleslaw.. hohohoho..
and the parking at T3 during weekends is dirt-cheap! at $2.50 for the 1st 3 hours.. shiok! ample parking with lotsa space to run for adri. though she will take 10 steps, turn to u, hug ur leg and the stretch her arms out for you to carry her.. grrrrr.. lazy bum!!
tis little missy also showed us her overbearing side and "dislike" for shopping.. granny & mum wanted to step into a boutique and she went "dun buy clothes!".. and when granny saw a pretty dress for her in another shop and wanted to buy for her, she shouted to granny "太婆，不要买！！".. and then what?? she proceeded to walk into the toy shop next to it and said "BUY toys!!!".. visit to the gynae at 24weeks..
oops.. i m sorie peeps! i actuali can't remember my own EDD.. hurhurhur..
at 1st it was 18th apr, then 16th apr.. then cos bb Ayden (yes yes! bb's name is Ayden.. not Adrian or Aaron or Andy or watever A's you might have imagined so far.. hahaha!) is pretty big, it became 13th apr during the Oscar scan.. haha!
well, whatever! the visit was during the 24th week period. and itz been 1 mth since the last visit. and i have PUT ON ANOTHER 4.2kg (as compared to the 400g Ayden put on?? he's 750g now..)!!!!!!! wah.. mummy's power weekends packed with food reali plumps me up and itz not a good thing!! cos the aches and pains are getting worse. very much worse. with adri, it was that sharp pain right in the middle of the right bum which rendered me immobile during the last few days before i pop. this time round, the pain is on the back. and it has made me a panda, no thanks to the sleepless nites, lying on the bed immobile. even if i want to move, it is often a painful process for the 1st 15mins after lying down.
sigh.. sometimes i dun feel like sleeping. cos it hurts. and i m counting down. really counting down cos i can't take the pain much longer. dr. wong has commented that the aches and pains will get worse from now on since itz a 2nd pregnancy and the ligaments and everything else are more lax. hurhurhur.. *faintz*
dear is as usual the sweetest darling cos he takes care of adri and let me rest. and mum & grandma have been reali accomodating too.. dear mentioned dat he'd rather i have lotsa cravings in the middle of the nite than to see me in pain. cos he can settle my cravings but can't share my pain and he feels worse.. awww.. so sweet. i dunno wat to say.. *so touched*. BUT! i dun have cravings.. hahahaaha.. and regardless of whatever has been said, factory is confirmed CLOSED after #2.. hahahaha.. not that we both mind la.. =)
brought sweetie for this visit cos it was on Boxing Day (Saturday) and we tot it will be fun to show her didi! and she was staring intently at the monitor while dr. wong was scanning. but she didn't say didi.. she shouted "FISH!" instead.. hahahhahaa.. and then went "BIRD!!" omg..

updates...
just some updates on the little one and our lives b4 the photos blast of the past 2 weekends... :)
this little girl as i mentioned in my last post is indeed my "angelic" monster... she hasn't reali been sleeping well due to the phlegmy cough.. sigh. and dat means mummy is a panda but!!! dear & i aren't spared either when we slept over with her over the weekends.. doesn't help dat she shouts for "tai-po" and "po-po" the moment she opens her eyes at either 3am+ or 6am+!!! yes.. 3am+.. not cos she wants milk but cos she simply wakes up then.. she'll then cry like she's beaten and needs help.. and she wants the potty to pee too.. tsk tsk.. and she insists on seeing either one of them! argh.. so another 1/2 - 1hr is spent coaxing her back to dreamland.. by then, we are more or less awake already.. boo hoo.. what will happen when both "po"s go to taiwan during CNY?? i can't imagine.. plus my back & body are already falling apart, something dat dr. wong has warned me abt when i visited her over the weekend.. hurhurhur.. i can imagine the biggest strain on dear.. as he cares for his "2" daughters...
one funny incident happened.. and it makes me wonder what adri is made of.. or rather what the kiddos nowadays are thinking or learning! haha..
she threw and broke the kaleidoscope given by dear's colleague the other day.. of cos the cane had to come out.. and i caned her lightly quite a few times on her bum and her hands.. if it was any1 of us being caned in the past, we wld have ran away and refused to talk to the "cane-r".. but this little girl?? nope! i refused to talk to her or sayang her. but she actuali came up to me while crying with all the snot running down her nose.. wanting to hug me and say sorry.. but i refused and gave her a scolding instead.. after saying my piece, i ignored her and read my newspapers.. but she insisted and came up to me and said "mummy, HUG!!!".. *faintz*.. and erm.. after the hug, the tap stops miraculously and she went back to jumping and playing.. argh! this little monster..
she reali knows how to manipulate the situation and knows that this will buy her the forgiveness.. hurhurhur.. wat can i say?? we didn't know to laugh or cry at her antics..
now, just one thought since she is about to start school in a week's time (sob sob.. boo hoo! so heartpain... ouch!!!).. will she apply such tactics to her teachers?? and will she retaliate when she is bullied? she is one blur soul when it comes to bullying by other kids. have seen it soooooooo many times.. i hope she can learn to stand up for herself. BUT!!! dun be a bully too.. i certainly wldnt wana entertain calls from the teachers.. hurhurhur.. dat will be dear's job... LOL!

my sweetie pie
i hvnt been writing much abt my sweetie pie, have i? sorie but itz the festive season and *ahem* the shopping season as well so have been pretty overwhelmed.. LOL! and doesn't help that i am bogged down with work too.. hmmmpf!
lucky thing is i hv my family, a wonderful dear and the sweetie pie for support.. *phew!*
she has been very cute though super NOTTI and MISCHIEVOUS.. her antics make me laugh more than cry but i have to admit i reali have the urge to smack smack smack & scream at her most of the time.. cos she has learnt to turn a deaf ear to my warnings! tsk tsk. i reali hope she'll be better when school starts and didi arrives.. :)

aww.. i can't believe itz mine NOW!
dear promised me a bag 1 month back for this year's xmas pressie.. but i have already set my eyes on miu miu bow satchel unexpectedly during a casual "non-shopping" trip to miu miu @ ion.. hohohoho.. though i didnt like any of the colours on display then, i certainly fell in love with the bag itself.. so wat can a girl do when she is in love??? research research & research!
obviously someone of my character would definitely refuse to pay FULL SG retail price for it cos godknows how much the SAs are earning for it in the first place.. i'd rather put that savings to better use.. like getting a wallet or accessory to go with it? hiaks! in other words, i m NGIAO la.. LOL
so so so.. my research extended to approaching bag concierge, happiness storefront's carolina for help.. she is one super sweet lady and very very helpful too! however, as the prices are pretty crazy in Paris with euro's exchange rate and the service charge, savings on the bag turned out to be quite little.. sooooooo a disappointed me went on the prowl again for other alternatives!
and who to my rescue but Emily??? aww.. i heart her lots lots man.. she has just gotten herself a miu miu coffer too and it was from HKG.. hohohoo.. seeing a glimpse of hope in that post of her on her blog, i simply had to email her and check out on the deals and savings!! hahaha.. MUACKS emily!
next question was to find the person in HKG to grab dat bag for me from Landmark's miu miu store which i quickly made enquiries from.. (dun wana get my cousins there to do it cos i can't run the risk of having it lost in transition!!) and luck has it that Kelly's ex-colleague will be coming back to SG soon.. but i didnt expect it to be sooooooo soon cos nothing was confirmed at all and i was starting to get worried if i can get it in the colour i want (fumo) before it goes OOS!! wkakaka!
many thanks to my dearest Kelly.. she hearts a bag lover just like Emily and actually went to pick her ex-colleague up at midnite from the airport cos she wanted to surprise me in the office today.. LOL!
and b4 i forget, thanks to Cheryl & Jacq for offering their HKG "connections" too! =P
oooooh.. i should shut my trap and stop rattling on already.. here is my "anniversary" pressie (instead of xmas cos of the 'time' difference'! hahaha..) from my dearest dear.. love u the most for always indulging in me and my rubbish... keke..

"kree-mas kwee" lights and ooooooo.. the BAG!

ok ok.. "kree-mas kwee" = christmas tree in wee-wee's language.. oh.. and just in case u dunno, wee-wee is missy's pet name that survived all the other funny, one-off nicknames she was given.. creator of this name? lim wan qi.. hahahaha!
anyway, back to this post.. haha.. we went orchard (yes! orchard.. i know.. itz crazy with the siao traffic!..) for some luxury shopping.. ooo.. no no.. itz not our "luxury-bags-queen" 珮姨 tis time round wor.. (not cos she is guai... she is still looking for something she likes after her last purchase from Dior.. ) but itz 美姨 who decided to splurge abit after a long hiatus from the world of crazily-priced bags..
lucky LV at ngee ann city was closed for some special event cos i dunno how to appreciate this brand much and wouldn't know how to "stir" 美姨 into buying.. phew! .. well, 美姨's eyes and heart were immediately captured by the Bolso Calle - taupe in Loewe.. i must say, i LIKE it too~! simple, nothing too fanciful and definitely can last through quite a few seasons just like their nappa range.. awww... and needless to say, she just purchased it. at a cool sgd 2790. itz reali pretty la.. too bad 美姨's got a daughter. else i dun mind taking over the bag when she is done with it! hahaha.. *p.s. 珮姨, are u reading this? u can always hand ur bags down to me or wee-wee wor! hiaks! TIA!*

went prawn-fishing with the family.. something which dear was definitely looking forward too as he has been deprived of it for a long time since adri came along.. (and he was bugging pretty frequently these few weeks.. machiam like he's pregnant.. haiyo!)
qi qi wasnt too lucky in her catch today so u shd've heard her shout in delight when she caught her 1st prawn ever! 美姨 & mummy gotta run away from her at once cos the whole place was staring at us. LOL! wee-wee didn't reali join us much at the "prawning" ponds cos the water's dark and all she can see are the rods.. haha.. but she had fun "catching" the BIG prawns in the aquariums by the side.. hahaha..

awful sales associates
i shall let the following speak for itself.. anyway, have bathed in pomelo & pomegranate leaves.. u wun believe it but i even had nitemares abt evil SAs scolding, screaming and hitting me! argh.. hahaha.. terrible and super imaginative of this pregger's mind.. LOL..
my letter to Tangs:
"I was at Vivo Tangs today (4th December) at 1pm for some shopping after lunch when I passed the Yankee Candles area. As my colleague was introducing and telling me how nice the candles are, I picked up "Be Thankful" and smelled it. However, I didn't like it and commented to my colleague that it was smelly but all the candles do smell nice when put together instead.
At this moment, a sales associate (lady, with short hair which covers the ears and wearing glasses) walked over and LOUDLY told me off "It's NOT smelly. It has pumpkin in it and it is for OUR American customers". To which, I made no reaction. However, seeing that I was ignoring her, she SHOUTED louder and repeated "THIS IS NOT SMELLY. THIS HAS GOT PUMPKIN IN IT".
I looked up from the display and told her "I heard you perfectly the 1st time round so there is no need to repeat". She proceeded to stare at me from top to toe, sniggered and walked to her colleague to complain loudly that I don't know how to appreciate the candles.
I have to admit, I really don't appreciate the smell of the candle which I have picked up and thought it was too smelly or rather pungent for my liking. But in no way should this sales associate react in such a manner as the comment was clearly my personal view and choice.
I think she really loves the products and feel proud of them but to exclaim and pass snide remarks at your customers just because they don't like the items? That was seriously uncalled for and rude. And I wonder if she is trying to belittle me and other Singaporeans who don't share her taste in the candles since she said the candles are for her American customers. May I ask why, then that the candles are available for sale in Tangs for the X'mas season? Does Tangs serve only Americans and belittle Singaporeans like myself too?"
And Tang's very prompt reply.
"I refer to your email sent on 04th December 2009.
I am concerned to learn of your unpleasant experience while you were at TANGS VivoCity. Please accept my sincerest apologies for the distress caused by the poor service of our Yankee promoter.
I agree with you that the promoter should have been more polite towards you. We would like to inform you that after my discussion with Yankee promoter boss it was been agreed that she will be no longer serving TANGS with an immediate effect. I would like to assure you that customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us at TANGS and we will do our utmost to prevent a similar recurrence.
We appreciate the time taken to feedback to us as we believe that it is through feedback from customers that we are able to monitor and further improve our service standards.
We sincerely hope that this incident will not deter you from shopping at TANGS and we look forward to serving you when you next visit our store.
Again my apology."

missy & barney
itz an yearly affair at quite a number of shopping malls to feature certain cartoon characters for the xmas/ school holidays specials.. and barney is back at united square again..
as missy is an ardent fan of barney, dear & i took leave at the last min on thursday (3/12) to bring her to the show.. ha! last min cos we obviously didnt plan to go.. esp when we think of the crowd..
missy enjoyed herself fully, of course.. but read below for the ugly singaporeans we encountered during the show.. haiz.. *how u behave in front of the child will be how ur child is brought up!*.. if it wasn't for the kids around me, incl adri, expletives would have flowed out of dear's & my mouth like a merlion.. ah well! i hope they learn from this..
the story.. not of Barney show la! but the encounter we had.. :
we were one of the last batch to go in so we were standing right at the back. dear sat down cos he's not preggers but itz quite tough for me & the pregnant lady beside me to sit cos we were both quite big and the space is reali small... anyway, we were just in front of the barney merchandise area so some pple starting standing there with their kids. right behind us. *note: these means they didnt Q. they were just viewing from wherever they were and they aren't in the viewing central*. when the show started, being miss shortie, dear had to stand and carry adri to watch the shows cos every1 in front starting to whip out their cams and the kids were way TALLER. guess wat? this stupid old uncle with his granddaughter started to "tsk tsk" behind us and grumble. and another man with his son on his shoulders tapped my hb on his shoulder and asked him to squat down to which my hb replied "how to squat carrying the child?? u wana come in and try?" he was relentless and kep tapping my hb on the shoulders and my hb told him "can u stop touching my shoulders?" and dat stupid man went "then can touch u where?" *faintz.. i know my hb is gg to &!@#^$@&*@( already so i butt in and turned ard, told the guy "u shd hv Q-ed int he 1st place so that u can come in and watch! we simply have no space to sit".. and the DUMB old man next to him started to say how inconsiderate we are and told me "aiya! u women. JUST SIT DOWN and dun talk la!".. GRRRRR!!!.. the pregnant lady next to me started to get angry to and we both turned ard and asked him "how u expect us, so big, to sit down?? can u just Q next time so u can be in here and stop complaining???" and sensing dat he already stepped on 2 preggers, he went "aiya.. dun wana talk to u all la... u all confirmed NOT singaporeans.. cos so selfish!!".. to which, WE both replied (hahaha! tink the lady next to me got fiery temper too!) "YOU are obviously the s'porean.. UGLY s'porean" and we turned to watch our shows.. haiz.. seriously, if i can sit down, i would. but we are at the very very last 'row' and the space can barely accomodate our feet in the 1st place. how to plonk our butts down??? aiyo!!!

... was spent at bugis in the afternoon for some hk cafe food with the family.. :)
and missy spent her afternn with her "kree-mas twees!" hurhurhur.. lotsa huge sparkling ones in bugis..
then 珮姨 bought us yummilicious delicacies at Thai Village.. *slurp*
oooh.. tis was taken after the lunch, at home.. look at my lioness!
missy on the merry-go-round ride with some other kiddos.. check out the little boy.. he's so shy cos we commented that he's handsome! hahahaha..

itz our meetup with Oct'07 mummies again! yippie yeah yeah.. however, it was a working PH for me on Hari Raya Haji (27th Nov 09, friday) when this meetup took place cos it coincides with the MONTH-END close.. the mummies were soooooooo sweet to actually fix the meetup @ Vivo for my convenience! awwwwww...
