photographers & studios

hmm.. tis is one of those random posts... so ignore me if tis topic ain't ur cup-of-tea.. =D

having brought adri to studioloft when she was 6mths, professional photographer albert sii to cover her 1st birthday & to sean lau photography when she was 12 mths, i have some views of my own to make..

studioloft is simply great! i know there are pple who have made complaints abt their service etc etc.. but c'mon! which firm doesn't get complaints at all? maryann is a nice lady & so is her aide, Ashley who's a great photographer too!
they took beautiful pics of adri with such clean & simple backdrop, the focus is just on her & her alone.. the expressions of a cute 6-month-old were all captured beautifully & with such speed..
adri was cranky & fussy & thus the number of pics taken were lesser than wat we expected.. but it ain't the fault of maryann or ashley.. itz our fault cos we were tired trying to coax her and we gave up.. ha! regretted it quite a fair bit cos the photos turned out FANTASTIC despite her cries! boo hoo... and know wat? i can't wait to go back to studioloft for adri's next photoshoot!!

albert is a very humble & nice gentle guy who came & covered adri's 1st birthday though the pictures seemed to tell me itz more like adri's personal shoot.. haha! i'm not complaining though cos they turned out great!
imagine it was all done at my place without any fancy backdrops and without any professional lightings! he was patient and always with his cam, ready to pounce on any actions he thought would make a great pic.. i m very very glad i engaged him to capture the special moments at the party..

sean lau is a young guy & he's very friendly & nice.. his wife, adelena is a very sweet lady too...
brought adri to him on her 1st birthday.. cos i wanted special days like tis to be captured.. anyway, i also didnt know where else to bring her ma.. keke
there were lots of outfit changes and the couple will actuali make an effort to choose which clothes & accessories will look nice / match for the photos! sean & adelena made alot of efforts to engage adri as well so that they can capture her beautifully..
price is kinda on the steep side but the quality of the album looks great & i couldnt resist la.. keke
one thing i dun like about SL (like some other studios) is the fancy backdrops.. i seriously dislike "marbled-effect" / "cloudy" backdrops cos they take attention away from the face & cute expressions of the subject (kid). however, they have done a great job with this session & their customer service is good (very nice & comfortable location for the photoshoot too!). if they ever change their backdrop, i will definitely go back to them. no questions asked!
