CNY part III

the rest of the CNY 1st week till the trio is back!

missy 's still stuck with us so what do we do? take silly pics! hahaha..

ooooo.. i simply have to do this just for the sake of reminding her in future! hahaha.. the following has been her habit since she was a tiny lil' baby! i always wonder in awe how her toes never seem to have trouble locating the openings of her bolster.. regardless of the size & shape of the particular bolster she is holding!! and i tot my own toes were flexible.. hmm.. must keep on mind to avoid her "princer-toes" in future. just in case she can pinch pple with them just like me! LOL!

finally! itz time for us to fetch the trio from the airport! and missy was "cheated" by us to tag along late late at nite with the promise of seeing aeroplanes.. in the end, promises were broken and she resorted to reminding us by singing "where is aeroplane? where is aeroplane?" (to the tune of "Where is Thumbkin?") LOL! tis lil' cheeky girl.. my love, my life!!

and and cos the trio are finally back, how can we miss doing a proper CNY visiting / makan-ing thingy?? 舅舅 treated us to makan and these are some cutie pics of that day... hee..

can someone tell me how beloved missy is to the family? see below pic for partial proof. 1 kid on a ride but with so many adults around.. siao bo? ahahhahaa!

CNY part II

the 1st few days of CNY! welcome to TIGGER year!

1st day was spent visiting my MIL & great-grandpa.. missy had a great time @ MIL's place cos she had fun munching on the cornflakes cookies! "mummy, give weewee baby size!" hahaha.. and she cldnt resist but whack her daddy on the back with 书本 (given to her by amanda...) when he was gambling!! the family had great fun telling her to do so cos 书 = 输 geddit? but but but! i tink it worked just the opposite way.. dear was winning with every smack.. whahahhahahaa!

after the visit to MIL's place (never visit FIL anyway cos he is away to genting for 1-week gambling trip! haha!), comes the infuriating part.. visit to tai-gong's place.. we had hell of a time trying to locate it! he is staying with XXX aunt who has moved to this new place b4 last CNY (but someone else sent us there last year).. location is at No. XX yio chu kang road which is essentially "atelier villa" BUT even the owner claims not to know the development's name! grrr... XX yio chu kang rd is not a landed property lor.. itz just a 4-storey cluster (& small!) house! so gimme the name anytime la. piangz.. and with the shitty parking.. grrrrrrrrrrrr

3rd day of new year was our mini-open house for the gamblers frm MS! keke.. small group but we did have fun!

CNY part I

... reunion dinner (again!! haha.. ) and aeroplanes!!

舅舅 is back from china so mummy & grandma prepared another sumptious meal for the family! oooh.. this is such a warm feeling cos we have all the kiddos (me & dear included!!) at one table and the adults at the other! and cos the family is so big, itz so squeezy, yet warm!... aww...

and cos the trio are flying off to taiwan the next day, angbaos are already distributed today! hiaks hiaks.. i still get angbaos okie? hee..

then it was off to the airport the next day

and and and.. guess what happened on the very nite we brought missy back? missy was riding piggyback on dear while he was on the bed.. and cos he was afraid she will fall over the side without realising that i m actually holding on to her, he flipped her over to where my face was and her very hard head slammed into my mouth.. sob sob... both his babies burst out crying from the pain.. and of cos the smaller baby stopped after awhile cos the big baby aka moi was almost about to faint from the pain! OUCH.. hurhur... though missy was a sweetie cos she came over to sayang and hugged and kissed me despite her own pain too.. =) wat an end to the year of the ox!

happy TIGGER year! 恭喜发财，红包拿来...

mummy & grandma & 珮姨 flew off to taiwan from 年三十 and just got back after 7 days of fun on Saturday nite! =) dear & i were very worried abt hving the lil' missy on our hands for the week cos we obviously hvnt "graduated" from our "weekend parents" status... hmm..

so how did it go?? we survived and more! yes, the week did seem long and BORING (and painful due to my back..) but we enjoyed ourselves with the missy loads.. she hasn't been the best baby (refusing her baths.. crying like we are plotting against her while shampooing.. insisting we pay her undivided attention at any one time.. blah blah blah...) but time spent with her showed us that we can MAKE it as good parents and we do have the patience & love in us to care for her 24/7 (ok.. not reali 24/7 but close) too! in fact, i was crying while driving home cos i saw her reluctant face when she was in 珮姨's car after leaving 舅舅's house on Sunday afternoon to go back to mummy's place... i already missed her! sob sob sob.. we resolve to be better parents and to spend more private time with missy. gambate!

so what did we do with missy??
saturday: (AM) sending the folks off at the airport! (PM) to our place! and j.pt to collect dear's pants.. the mall is so quiet though cos we erm... went late.. on a 年三十 where shops close early.. ha!
sunday 14th feb 年初一: (AM) back to mummy's place to pray.. (PM) to MIL's place for mini-gambling session... & then tried damn hard to locate 太公's place .. & then had a great dinner courtesy of 好姨 @ fish & co. & then home for more playtime with missy!
monday: (AM) playtime @ home ... brekkie @ pioneer mall.. supermart shopping @ giant... (PM) mummy's place to raid her place for supplies for the next day's party.. haha
tuesday: (AM) getting missy ready for home.. (PM) home "raided" by MS folks for some gambling.. hohohoho... then to j.pt for some shopping & dinner!
wednesday: (AM) playtime @ home.. (PM) playdate @ sweetie dewi's place!! kiddos incl chloe, garina, jayden, hannah & 2 lil' babies, deborah & bosco! =) then to mummy's place to zonk out for the nite.. but not b4 having a nice dinner with 舅舅 and family... =P
thursday: (AM) missy off to school, tearfully! so sad to see her ke lian face.. tink she is facing separation anxiety again.. (thanks to ayden??) (PM) off to playtime @ home! and...... the screening of "9" to her.. itz a great show afterall! (i was scolding dear when he bought the DVD and i always tink of tim burton's movies to be too dark for kids!) missy refused to let us stop her show when we arranged to meet rayson for dinner/supper @ j.pt.. ha..
friday: (AM) off to check up @ ACJ.. didi is 2.1kg @ 32 weeks. tried asking dr. wong if i can induce @ 36 weeks.. *fat hope* cos must wait for lungs to fully develop.. ok. i'll wait! (PM) "9" was almost thought to be put on repeat mode, no thanks to missy's requests for the show for at least 4 times in one afternoon!!! 美姨 came by and wanted to cook so off we went to NTUC to grab some more ingredients for dinner and we had a good one.. and yup.. "9" was on 'repeat' mode again the rest of the evening.. =)
saturday: (AM) missy on her angbao collection "spree" at the market today cos tis is the 1st day since CNY started that any of the aunties & uncles at the market got to see her.. hurhurhur.. and the phrase grandma taught her? reali makes pple laugh and me wanting to dig a hole in the ground and hide my face! "恭喜发财，红包拿来..." (PM) off to iluma to get my satio.. but they only reserved the black for me as it was the last piece left.. hmm.. paid them a deposit and am looking forward to collecting the red one on tues/wed! hiaks.. shopped @ bugis and missy had a great time @ j.co cafe cos we ordered a big serving of yoghurt for us to share.. but she told me to drink my coffee instead! argh.. hmpf! then then then, it was time to pick the trio up from the airport @ nite.. gosh! ain't i glad to see them.. kekeke..
sunday: woke up early in the morning despite the late nite sleep for all of us.. and we are off to meet the whole family for lunch @ ah yat @ jurong bird park vicinity courtesy of 舅舅.. then to 好姨 then followed by 舅舅's house before home-sweet-home.. what a week!

my crazy baby and our weekend...

ok... missy has seriously gone crazy this weekend with her fiery tantrums and weird behaviour!! according to mum, she "lost" it when 3 people asked my mum on 3 separate occasions on my EDD.. 1st time she reacted with a "i dun want teacher! i dun want to go school!". i can't remember how she reacted the 2nd time but 3rd time proved that tis question is too potent to be asked in front of missy. she simply went MAD over the weekend. crying, bullying, shouting, wriggling, refusing milk and sleep! argh.. somemore can tell me "i dun want sleep. 我要醒来" when i told her to take her nap cos she was visibly tired!! *faintz*

anyway.. i just hope this phase will pass soon and that time will fly past even faster and fast forward to the birth of didi.. i m in pain. i can't sleep for the past 2-3 weeks and i just can't wait to countdown to the end of pain & end of missy's unexplainable temper!!! hurhurhur..

meanwhile, we still had a pretty decent weekend when missy is not crazy! hahaha..

we had to wait and we had to share table with others but itz worth it!!! different ramen were used with different dishes and the soup for each of the 4 that we tried were YUMMY! noodles were springy with a soul-comforting buttery taste.. the rice dishes fared well too cos the rice they used were fragrant and perfectly done!

but before u go on to the pics.. i must apologize as there aren't pics of the ramen & rice dishes cos before i can do so, missy went BONKERS in the restaurant.. grrrrrrrrrr...

missy finally calming down (for a short while of 30 mins) while in a shop waiting for popo to make her purchase.. hmm...

our very early reunion dinner this year... =)

we always have earlier reunion dinners in order to cater for all my aunts & uncle to go to their in-laws for their respective dinners.. but this year is even earlier cos grandma, mummy & 珮姨 are going to taiwan on 年30晚.. (which means dear & i are stuck with the rascal, adri! omg.. more on that in another post later.. ha!)

anyway, reunion dinner was supposed to be at Pu Tien on saturday but we changed it to friday instead cos of scheduling issues.. hee.. we ended up at this taiwanese steamboat restaurant along joo chiat road which 美姨 & family loves.. i must say the freshness of the ingredients and the sweetness of the shark's bone soup wow-ed me over! *slurp* and the yu-sheng was fantastic with mango strips! woohoo.. refreshing!
the drunken prawns were sedap too! but poor peiyan was scalded by the boiling soup when the prawn decided to DANCE in the soup when po-po put it in without knowing that we were supposed to wait as the prawns are not drunk yet.. tsk tsk.. poor dear had to endure the pain and shock! hmm..

after the dinner, we adjourned to one small italian restaurant 2 units down the street for yummy desserts like the oozing lava cake and alcohol-laced tiramisu..

my pointy bump

my new skincare regime.. i'm lovin' it!

anyway, my new exciting regime is from Kiehl's Acai Range.. and i reali reali love it!

have been asking dear since i started on the products on wed, 3rd feb on whether he feels my skin is calmer now.. and he thinks it does look better and smoother! (stupid pregnancy hormones didn't do my skin much good and i have crazy, sensitive skin. and not forgetting the countless times i had to see the doc just for my puffed-up red eyes and 珮姨 thought i was wearing eyeshadow at home.. haha!)

anyway, i simply have to rave abt this range of products! simply cos:
1. products are paraben & silicon-free
2. they are all ECOCERT® and Cradle to Cradle Certified CM which means plant ingredients are certified organic and they are also eco-friendly: minimal impact on creating the products with environmentally safe ingredients, packaging and in the energy used to produce them.

and my fav products of this range?
- the self-foaming cleanser (which helps to save the amount we use! haha..) is very very lightweight and feels oh-so-soft on my face.. very calming yet clean! i dun feel any tightness and 1.5 pumps is enough to clean my entire face and neck... and cos of the texture, i feel like just staying in the bathroom to wash my face over and over again.. hahaha!

- the moisturiser which is creamy, yet not heavy on my dehydrated (which can be oily pretty often) skin.. there is this light protective film after application which calms my otherwise "fiery" face.. and like i mentioned earlier, the heavenly "spa" scent just entices me to slowwwwwwly massage the cream into my face.. and inhale deeply...

i m so hoping to keep up with this regime.. knowing how lazy i can be after awhile.. and i hope to say bye to my troubled skin asap!! keke..

wee wee's hair

just in case you have not already known, i DON'T like wee wee's hairstyle now. stupid hairstylist made a mess of her hair and cut it too short. i feel like finding out who that bugger is and go chop off her locks in the same way too and ask her if she'd like her own hair to look like dat.

30th jan 2010 saturday
after 3 days of not seeing my baobei cos of mth-end, i cldn't wait to smell her smelly, "giam giam" mouth (no thanks to the saliva!!) haha.. missed my baobei so much, i wanted to SQUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEZZZE her hard.. keke..

went down to citysquare with the family late on saturday.. reali had no idea on wat to eat and PuTien is full! argh.. so settled for ajisen.. nice, big mall BUT the traffic to this place is atrocious.. and dat "hump" before descending the slope to the carpark? dangerous!! itz so high till all i could see was the dashboard of 珮姨's car! no wonder wee-wee was like a broken recorder.. she simply repeated "very dangerous.. tsk.. so dangerous!!.. tsk.. very dangerous!!" on and on and on until the car was parked.. *faintz*

my sweetie-pie is so lucky with these 2 lovely women by her side 24/7.. so am i!

31st jan 2010 sunday ~ lovely playdate @ jas'

sweetie jas invited us for a playdate @ her place together with dewi & family.. such a lovely date cos there's yummilicious hainanese chix rice with steamboat too! *slurp*.. thanks babe! we had fun!!
