check out his hands!! we just have to make a sound "orhhhhhhhh--orhhhhh" like an engine and he will open his palms parallel to each other and start moving them back & forth! hahaha.. just like he's manoeuvring the sterring.. but the thing is, each time after he does this action, he will want to BITE!!! dun ask me why but itz like this pent-up energy in him needs some releasing.. >_X

oh.. and did i mention he loves shoes?? all our shoes! and here he is, trying to wear jiejie's slippers... i like the NEVER GIVE UP attitude sia!

to my dearest lil baby, ayden boiboi:

just like jiejie, time flies when u enter our lives a year ago.. it seems to both mummy & daddy that i just got pregnant with you, holding the test kit in our hands and jumping for joy! but then the pain started to get worse.. the sleepless nights seemed endless... mummy got frustrated, daddy felt helpless... we kept looking forward and counting down to april...

of cos we felt guilty towards you then.. but we love u lots lots lots and can't wait for you to arrive. yes, no doubt part of the hope was so that the pain will stop but what can mummy & daddy do right?

1st april came and went but not without daddy touching mummy's tummy and whispering to you "dun make a fool of yourself ayden".. ha! and it was the day of mummy's last day @ work before the maternity leave starts..

and then on 4th april, u decided enough is enough.. u can't wait to come meet us too! woohoo..

and you turn ONE now!! thanks baby for all the wonderful joy and laughter you have brought to our family. u are reali the cutest but also the naughtiest of the lot! (and may i say not very handsome one? hahaha!)... mummy tinks u resemble Stitch! of cos u are not that ugly but u both have the same toothy, notti grin, likes to CHOMP and oh.. that nottiness!! so much alike Stitch.. LOL..

and before i forget, i must tell u this... ur jiejie LOVES u alot alot.. even though she might fight with you over toys. even though she might scream her head off at you for "spoiling" her creations.. BUT she'll always ask about u when she dun see u and she will STOP any attempts from any1 to bring you home. she is just feeling jealous at times and i must admit, u are not giving her much reasons not to.. ha! she is very afraid of ur teeth and your saliva! cos u love to bite (yes, u have bitten jiejie on several occasions... )and u love ur bolster.. and u love hers as much! LOL.. she'll rush to snatch her bolster from you cos you will wet the ends thoroughly if she dun snatch it by the count of 5.. datz how terrible it can be, my dearest son.. =D

well, my sweetheart baby boi, our birthday wish is for you to always be HAPPY, HEALTHY and "chompy" (ha! every1's 1st reaction when they carry u is to tell u "dun bite me ar!!!")... we love u loads and we hope to be the best parents to you! do bear with us if we seem sticky to jiejie and always remember we LOVE u as much and NEVER lesser.. we love u love u love u baby!

my ayden boiboi's 1st burpday party! ^_^

celebrated darling ayden's 1st birthday on 27th Mar 2011 (sunday), 1 week ahead of his actual birthday.. simply cos i was too late in making a booking at grassroots club and managed to secure the date & time only less than 2months prior to the party.. oops! bad habit lately actually.. procrastination.. tsk tsk..

anyway, i am sooooooooo glad it turned out fantastic (i hope??) despite the shorter preparation time! *wipes sweat* and the choice of venue was a good one, given dat the kids are around missy's age and can enjoy the playground better.. heehee.. nostalgia.. cos missy attended a 1st birthday bash with other October 2007 babies there too!

and the party was definitely a great one, all THANKS to the attendance of ALL WONDERFUL guests who turned up and who gave me so much face! heehee.. heartfelt thanks to these beautiful people who came for ayden's party despite the rain/traffic/bad timing on a sunday evening otherwise meant for the family.. muacks and hugs all! *so touched* (^_<)

the very heartpain-inducing purchase... the $380 cake by Vivian .. and mind you, though i decided on the venue and everything else late, i actually placed the order for this cake once ayden was born cos she is always fully booked for a year straight!! beautiful creation but truth be told, my guests didn't reali enjoy the cake.. some said it was too dense and some said it was "undercooked".. =(

made a special request on the cake though.. i wanted specifically hippo (ME!), rhino (dear!), pig (ya.. i know not very jungle nor safari but it stands for missy!) and the tiger (for birthday boy!!) and i must say vivian did a great job of following very very closely to the pic that i have given her of the theme. check out the animals on the centrepiece next to the cake.. sama sama! =D

food food food from naked fish shoppe (erm.. wasn't given much choice by the club.. hur..) not too sure about the quality cos i didn't get to eat a single morsel! hahaha.. i was famished but overwhelmed by the lovely guests.. and! the fact that mister wee was getting so much attention and compliments on his newfound figure gave me a stomach upset.. LOL! kidding la.. proud of his weight loss.. just that i have to work doubly hard liao lor.. hurhurhur..
note the not-too-happy ayden's face.. ha! cos he was plucked off the playground for his photo-taking and cake-cutting la! and noticed he slimmed down? aiya.. not my macho-boy le.. no thanks to a fever he got on thursday prior to the party.. lucky he recovered in time for his BIG day!
