updates updates!

darling ayden turns 4mths old today.. Happy HEALTHY 4 months old darling!

he weighs 7.8kg and is 70cm tall now! wat a contrast to his shortie jie jie! (who, by the way has FINALLY reached the elusive 90cm mark though weight remains at 12kg) hahaha... so much so dat i feel like he's 7-8mths old when i carry him in my arms.. this lil' darling is so big!

and @ 1 day shy of turning 4 mths, he is starting to crawl.. inching forward slowly but surely in his own style, a combination of the commando and snake moves.. hahaha.. abit slow in reaching his "goals" (aka his bolster or hanky) but determination wins the day, often!

as for me, i m more or less stuck @ X3 to X4kg (at least i broke the stupid X5kg barrier.. didn't seem to wana go down for the longest time.. grrrr) pre-pregnancy weight is still a good 5-6kgs away!.. itz reali a slow process this time round.. i have lost only about 13kg in this 4 mths.. argh!!! and with the gobi craze combined with a lower metabolic rate since hitting the big 3s? hurhur.. i guess it'll take even longer.. AND it doesn't help dat dear seems to be looking better everyday though his weight loss has slowed down and he's kinda stuck at X1-X2kg (just like me!! hee).. it just ain't fair when i see him maintaining this weight even when he reaches out for that new pack of chips/ peanuts everytime RIGHT after a full meal.. *bleh* watever.. >_< i m sure his weight will creep up slowly on him and he'll balloon again! *evil grins*

and dat reminds me of the words on the poster right in front of me at my desk:
"Dear God, if you can't make me thin... at least make my friends fat."
maybe i shd just start praying.. LOL!

hooked is an understatement..

seriously.. to say we are hooked on gobi is an utter understatement!! i dunno how else to describe but it seems like we need our fix every weekend.. hurhur..

the last weekend was to try the savoury fare @ gobi for a change (though dat doesn't mean we missed out on desserts..)

we ordered the sets.. which comes with a small but mouth-watering portion of pasta/sandwich + a small cup of super delicious, thick soup + refreshing side salad + marinated tofu & carrots.. awesome! the portion is just right for 1 person which leaves just enough room for desserts after..

as i said, there was still a little bit of room for desserts! tiramisu & yolk-less cheesecake.. *slurp*

i just wonder when will the craze in the family stop? hiaks hiaks.. seriously, this is killing any diet plans i have.. tsk.. but well... since when do i complain abt good food anyway?? ^_^

our hair is starting to go haywire... while missy is looking dishevelled and messy, i m starting to look old.. so off to our respective salons for our required fix..

and last but not least.. the sistic events as mentioned! 1st up: boeing boeing to be enjoyed with dear... then it'll be barney in sept with sweetie and jas & my sil!! and and and the most anticipated walking with dinosaurs in dec with dear and sweetie!!

i m soooooooo looking forward to all these (while still nursing my painful pockets - who knew entertainment for kids come at such prices??).. =P

the weekend i turned ONE!

i was grumpy. super duper grumpy like an old maid turning 61 instead of 31 for one whole week. and lucky for dear, i "recovered" on friday, 16th July. just 2 days shy of my birthday on sunday! nothing actually happened. i know frens are worried (thanks dears for your listening ears as i kpkb on the blog and FB.. paiseh..). it was like wat sam said, a pre-birthday thingy.. i guess itz cos i evaluated how the past year had gone by and the achievements or lack of it and i simply went ballistic. i panicked! and wondered where the past 365 days have gone to! and what have i done to show for it?? ha.. looking back, the past week was abit siao. but well, i tink i should be glad too. cos the "evaluation" actually cleared my mind a little and was a wake-up call for me to be grateful for & treasure what i have and also to strive to be a better person, wife & mummy. i should stay happy from now on. cos pple DO love me loads and i am such a silly, lucky person who didn't realise that for a fact.. hee..

ok. explanation for weird behaviour done. the following is wat happened thereafter! =P

the crazies @ work surprised me with a brownie (i dun fancy cakes) during a meeting and showered me with loads of love! meet them posing in front of the Windows 7 poster.. hee

then came the weekend.. and of cos time was spent with the 2 lil' cuties! we were invited to Faith's (auntie Mary's granddaughter) 4th birthday party @ downtown east chalet on saturday and so the group of us trooped down..

(anyway, i tink they dun like each other.. and i was telling dear that if i m faith, i also WUN like adri.. ha! imagine faith is the only granddaughter with no siblings and YET, her granny dotes on adri so much! and dat stooopid adri even snatched her 臭臭 to play with at the chalet.. now u tell me, will u like adri or not?? hahahaha!)

when we got back to mummy's place after the party, bro was all ready with his own surprise for me! (he sensed something is utterly wrong with his emo-sis over FB.. ha!).. love u much much bro!

then on the actual day, the cedar 4-beauties (or oldies now?? kakaka!) met up for brunch at wild honey. can't believe it took us more than 45 mins to get a table but but but.. the breakfast was great, like wat sarah said!! and cos of the delay, my birthday surprise from dear was delivered to me right outside the restaurant instead of him collecting it from the delivery guy and bringing it to me while seated inside.. well, itz still a beautiful surprise and i m very happy! thanks dear!
