missy's week at school

this is missy's 2nd week at school already.. and she is improving!!
although she didn't cry the 1st 2 days when dear & me brought her to school, she broke down on the 3rd day and pouted and cried for like 5 mins. cos 2 of her classmates were still crying badly and she is pretty stressed by it all . then she was distracted by the legos/ cars that the teachers have in the room for her and her sobbing stopped. according to mum & granny, she was cool when coming out of class.. she just walked to them coolly without much emotions on her face.. haha! miss cool-cat at work..
the next 2 days passed without much happenings/ resistance to school..

then weekend came.. i greeted her on saturday morning by asking if she wanted to go school.. she thought abt it and then pouted and her face screwed up with tears in her eyes and said "mummy, i dun want school. i dun want teachers".. oopsie! what have i done?? anyway, we avoided the topic over the weekend and let her enjoy herself 1st!

then then then.. it is a new week for her again this week. and she is FINE already! haha.. 2 of the kids are still crying but i guess missy has decided she can't do anything about them. mum said the teachers pay quite a fair bit of attention to her and instead of 1, 2 teachers will come out and fetch her into the classroom. and before they do that, 1 will even dance and sing with her.. and apparently the same one gushed to my mum "她好漂亮哦"! wkakaka.. so being cute has got itz advantages.. just like me when young.. (dun puke! LOL!).. well, i guess her loving actions start to show too cos she'll go in to the classroom and say "byebye" to the teachers personally and had even gone one up by hugging them and her classmates... *smart darling... i like ur EQ.. pls maintain it dat way hor!*..

so.. PHEW! i m glad the 2nd week has gone so well and i can't wait for the 20th.. cos dear & i will be on leave for my gynae check-up and we shld be able to make it in time to fetch her from school.. i wana see how she is! =P

i m trying not to link her actions at home now with school but seems like school did do something to her character in some ways.. though itz a short 2 weeks, the family noticed that she is calmer and can do more things on her own without insisting that we do them with her. she can play with her own puzzles without insisting that dear & i do one each too. she will also speak in a clearer way and longer sentences though her nasal voice makes it tough for us at times to understand her lingo.. haha!

however, her cheekiness is still her trademark la..

me: is mummy pretty?
missy: mummy is pretty! wee wee is pretty!
me: papa handsome?
missy: papa handsome! wee wee is handsome!
me: wee wee is a girl. so wee wee is pretty, not handsome..
missy: wee wee is a boy! wee wee is handsome..

t'was so old skool last christmas

no thanks to my non-working, non-productive and lazy preggers brain, i forgot to upload this cute pic which was taken @ 313 on one of our shopping trips during x'mas!

it must have been donkey years since i last seen a santa claus posing for pics with kiddos! i used to love jumping on santa's lap and pose for mine when i was that young.. of cos replacing the polaroid is now the instant print-outs from the digital cams. how time flies and how much technology changed.. well, i hope this old tradition that 313 "revived" will continue for many christmases to come!

ooo... and missy was looking so blur cos she missed her nap and was extremely sleepy and tired but yet refused to zonk out!

my growing "little precious moment(s)"

little missy is finally showing signs of growing taller!! which prompted dear to ask me if she will make it to the 90cm mark by the time she turns 3yrs old.. hmmm.. tough question begets tough answer.. "how on earth would i know??? but my guess? NOPE!" haha..

look at it this way, she is only barely reaching 86cm at 27 months old. when quite a number of oct'07 babies are way above the mark. plus, i entered her current height and age into some height predictor and sad to announce, the prediction is 159.3cm (5ft 2.7inches). super pathetic in my ideal imagination.. sob sob.. like i always said, lucky she looks like dear. else i m sure pple will speculate at the back of their minds. hahaha..

but.. ignore me and my gripes.. cos looking on the bright bright side as "painted" by dear (again!!).. she will most likely be a petite cute fella in the future! (which is to say: unlike ME! who is always mistaken for someone older.. no thanks to my height.. - which is something i can NEVER understand. height = age? then i shd be even taller now right?? hurhur..).. images of young-looking artistes come to mind.. vivian hsu (4 years older than me and yet looks like she is a decade my junior?? GRRR!), vivian chow (time seems to have frozen over for her.. )and some other adolescent-looking "freaks".. ha! maybe i shd have just named her vivian.. LOL!

wee wee's 1st & 2nd day @ school

hi everybody! this is wee wee reporting abt wee wee's experience @ school..

1st day @ school
mummy, papa & everyone else in the family have been acting funny and telling me weird things like "wee wee, you must behave in school okie?".. "wee wee, you must tell teacher 'teacher, i wana go to toilet' if u wana shhh shhh okie?".. blah blah blah.. wondered wat these adults were talking abt until Monday, 4th Jan 2010 @ 8.30am..

popo & taipo walked me to school cos mummy & papa were caught in a jam. they reached just at the same time i did at school.. after putting aside my bag & water bottle, mummy told me "baby, we are going out okie? u listen to teacher ar.. mummy loves u".. so i waved and said "bye mummy! bye papa!" hmmm.. dunno where they'll be off to but itz ok for the moment cos i have new toys right in front of me!

not long after they left, some friends started crying and calling for their mummies! erm.. i also dun understand why.. but mummy & daddy who peep at me thru the smallest gap in between the curtains told me that i looked stressed out cos i was holding on to my bread and looking at the crying friends around me.. hmmm.. i dunno wat to do, u know? so i just munch on the bread though the size of the bread remains pretty much the same.. hurhurhur...

1.5hrs later, i was being taught to Q up and hold my teacher's hand while she led me out. she wanted me to carry my own bag and water bottle too but i tink mummy over-packed the bigger-than-my-body-bag with godknowswhat and i didn't want to carry it so i told teacher "teacher! it's heavy! it's heavy!!".. when teacher repeated what i said to mummy, mummy wanted to faint cos she tot it was "sia suay!" hahaha.. such funny adults.. i was so happy to see mummy & papa waiting for me that ran towards them.. apparently i enjoyed myself with no sign of separation anxiety yet cos i was singing and dancing in the car on the way back.. i even told them "wee wee so tired.. teacher SO tired!" while lying on bed at home.. they couldn't help but laugh though i also heard a sigh of relief from mummy & papa! these adults.. tink they see me no up.. LOL..

2nd day @ school
i woke up in an EXCELLENT mood today! i dunno why but i feel so happy carrying my lighter and more comfortable school bag and can't wait to show every1 at the market my going-to-school look.. i even asked for eggs just as i was about to go to school..

mummy & papa walked me to school today. wanted mummy to carry me and didn't wana walk in but as usual, the toys were too enticing so waved BYE to mummy & papa very soon after.. when mummy was about to put my schoolbag down, my teacher held it up just to check the weight.. keke.. i can tell that mummy was embarrassed! oops! what have i done?

mummy & daddy went home 1st and came back just in time to see me out from the toilet with my friends and i was wiping my hands. we were taught to Q up by standing in one line while waiting for our friends to be ready. and once everyone was out, we walked back to class together.. i remember wat mummy taught me okie? "teacher, i wana go TOILET!"..

when it was time to be dismissed, i carried my own bag today.. and can't wait to see mummy & papa! however, my teacher told them dat i said "不要回家" to her though.. aiya. now they tink i dun wan them already. i didn't eat much at school today but i still managed a few mouthfuls of porridge.. mummy & papa are definitely hoping that i will keep up the good work in eating!

the NEW YEAR weekend...

oops.. this pregger's mind can't remember much abt the weekend leh.. except work work work & more work considering dat i had to go back on 2nd Jan.. ha.. plus my mind is preoccupied with missy's start of school on the coming monday.. so didnt reali have much mood.. was seriously going thru the motion nia leh.. hurhurhur..
we did some shopping at the Metro expo sale.. and had dinner at Thai Express @ Iluma.. and the italian restaurant at siglap.. but seriously, datz all i can remember. LOL!

casio exilim is finally giving up on me (or is it the other way round??) after 2 years of "loyal" service. and itz bye bye to the panasonic white elephant fz28 which i seldom use.. i have given up on trying to look pro or thinking dat i can take pro pics. shall leave that to the experts and get dear to spend $$$ on photoshoots instead ba.. hiaks! and since itz not a dslr to begin with, no love lost! hahaha.. (to tink that dear got it for me initially cos i wanted something FASTER than the exilim.. hurhur.. ended up fz28 was used at most once a month nia.. fast? yah yah.. fast enough to catch the backside of missy lor..)

so so so, introducing my new toy. another idiot-cam.. point & shoot and u can't reali go wrong right? hmmm.. right! plus.. i m back to my fav, olympus!! i hope it functions as well as my 1st ever digicam from them eons back..

ok. i suck at math apparently. was watching the countdown show with dear after a long day at work and the following conversation took place..

me: wah! 2010 coming soon hor.. feels dat i have JUST celebrated the millenium!!
dear: yah.. we are together for 10 years liao leh.. u say leh?
me: HUH?? so fast! 10 liao? got meh? 2001, 02, 03.... 10.. oh yah hor.. 10 years liao
dear: baby! u need to count like dat or not?? 2000 to 2010 is 10 years wat! need to count one meh? plus u knew me when u were 20 and i was 30. now u 30 liao and i m 40!!
me: pui! need to remind me my age meh.. aiyo... aiyo... aiyo.. lao liao la.. jialat la..
dear: still young la. i 40 le leh! 50... 60... wah! very soon le... u tink we can live to see 2100??
me: can! sure can.. cos u are 千年老怪！！！
dear: oh yah hor.. i forgot..
me: *rolls eyes* and start to wonder what on earth made me like this 老怪 10 years ago. marry him 3 years later and weirdly changed my mind abt kids and bear him one darling 8 years later and yet another one coming soon to mark the 10 years anniversary.. erm.. i tink i know..
